No, my career took me a long time to build and I’m able to help people through my work. It will always be one of the most important things in my life and I will never put it second to a relationship. Certainly, you should commit to a relationship, and make compromises for one another, but not sacrifice what important to you. Not many people nowadays have a job that they love. Settling for something that you don’t want in life will only breed resentment and will not lead to long-lasting happiness. A relationship should be about more than a commitment to each other, but a commitment to one another’s values. Me and my partner want to help others as well ourselves and we support and encourage each other in our goals. Always putting a relationship first, rather than the values, ideas and many differing passions that make up a person, is not healthy at all.
